July/August 2022 Article: Staying Mindful Going Into a New School Year.

Did you know that mindfulness practice can dramatically improve physical, emotional, and mental health? As we head into the new school year, let us be mindful of our mental and physical health.

What does mindfulness mean? Mindfulness is the essential human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we're doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what's happening around us.

Imagine what your life would be like if you had a greater sense of awareness. You may not only become more focused but also improve other aspects, such as school attendance and grades, thanks to the wonders that come from practicing mindful habits early on in life!

One way we can stay mindful as we head into the new school year is by packing a gut-healthy lunch for ourselves and our children. Being conscious about what you are doing regarding the foods you are putting into your body is essential. Are you putting healthy foods and drinks into your body?

Planning helps to keep your healthy habit going. Heeding consistency with this is by planning your lunches and meal prepping. The benefits don't stop there; increased brain inflammation protection is one thing we can all appreciate when living our best lives now—so take these tips home today!
